Luhrs
Luhrs has built high quality boats since the 30’s. Built tank tough, she
is simply, a great capable offshore fishing platform at a fraction of the cost
of a new tournament boat. The 290 is a modified-V hull with cored hull sides,
and a well flared Carolina bow, and a wide 11 foot 5 inch beam. She is famous
for her sea keeping abilities and dry ride. Her “common sense” cabin design is
extremely people friendly locating the head forward with choice of 2 long
couch/berths converting to berthing for 4 on 2 fold up the top bunks. She has a
small galley to the aft of the cabin the interior is trimmed with teak. Roomy
cockpit has two large in-deck fish boxes and built in livewell, transom
door, fish box built into the transom. Aluminum Tower has controls, bench seat
and outriggers. Helm is center line for great visibility. The entire helm
station lifts up to give easy access to the step down engine compartment.
Everything at the helm station is within easy reach. Comfortable seating around
the helm station for passengers.
