ANDIAMO is hull number 698 of the 1000+ vessels built by Tony Smith at
Performance Cruising at Annapolis Md. One of the early MC versions, which stand
out in performance, having an extra 1″ added to the leech of the mainsail to
give her slightly more horse power under sail (her owner reports consistent 8 kt
speeds in 25 kt cross winds with complete stability) and an inboard Westerbeke
diesel engine with Sonic out drive to push her through the waves on those
airless days.

Overview
Layout and Accommodations
The cabin and cockpit have 6' 0" to 6' 5" headroom throughout; four hatches with screens and windows all around; a 90" x 19" galley; AC air conditioner; a dinette with 90" of seating and a dropdown table holding a 65" x 62" mattress. The master suite is forward, 6'6"x 8'6", with queen size bed, tour closets and an eight drawer dresser.
New teak flooring was installed throughout the interior in 2023.
Forward visibility is excellent from the cockpit, and the cabin has plenty of light. The cabins sleep six comfortably and provide good room tor sleeping, cooking, dining, washing and navigation.
The dining area is 63×72, seats six and sleeps two, with a 44×30 table; the galley and navigation station are in the starboard and port hulls; the head is 48"x 65" (larger than the 30×60 minimum for a house in Florida.)
There is sliding door storage on each side of the dinette as well as six fans, six ceiling lights, six AC outlets and two DC outlets. The Navigation station is 90" long, with three lockers and one cabinet (holds 3 batteries plus the battery charger.). c
There are two bunk rooms, aft in the hulls, each with a 48" x 62" mattress, two portholes and two storage cabinets, plus storage under the bunk. They are closed oft by solid teak doors, as is the main salon and the head. The head converts into a shower.
The cabin has teak and holly flooring (NEW) window shades all around, four hatches with screens. Just inside the cabin are a 20-breaker AC/DC electrical panel, VHF radio, Xintex detector, captain's table and a jump seat.
The head has a stand up shower, stainless steel oval sink, medicine cabinet, two towel racks, electric marine
head and an 1 8 gal holding tank.
The galley is located in the center of the starboard hull outside of the main salon traffic. It is larger than some home kitchens. It has 12 ..3 square feet of counter space, 12.5 square feet of floor space, 6. 7 cubic feet of storage under the sink, and 1 0. 5 cubic feet of storage opposite the sink. In addition it has three drawers and four small cabinets; a stainless steel double sink, two burner propane stove, oven with broiler and pressurized hot & cold water with foot pump back up. DECK and EQUIPMENT
The fiberglass hull and decks, 33'6 long and 14' wide, can be transported on US highways. The boat draws 18" with the boards up.. The cockpit is 60" x 100" with an engine locker and two storage lockers, seating six comfortably. There are two large lockers aft, one sail locker forward and one anchor locker forward; a full solid fore deck with two seats; two
halyard winches and two jib sheet winches. The current owner added blocks and jam cleats to bring the main halyard back to the cockpit and new electric Lewmar #40 winches.

ENGINE and MECHANICAL
The inboard is a water-cooled 27 HP Westerbeke diesel (41 hours since overhaul in 2021) with standard engine instruments. It has a 55-amp alternator, Sonic outdrive (2019)hydraulic lift to reduce drag under sail. NEW Starter motor
There are two 18-gallon diesel tanks, two 20-lb propane tanks, two 30-gallon water tanks. There are two kick-up rudders with 27" draft and two centerboards with 5'6" draft, operated from inside the cabin. Overall draft is 27" with rudders down, 27" with drive down, 66" with centerboards down and 18" all up.
Engine power is delivered to the propeller via a Sonic-Sillette Outdrive, which can be lifted out of the water hydraulically to reduce drag while under sail.
There are two centerboards, operated manually to facilitate tacking and to reduce leeway and
increase speed on a beam reach. They add substantially to the handling and speed
SAILS and RIGGING
All new Doyle sails in 2017, including Mainsail, Genoa, and UPS (Utility Power Sail).
She has a 39' mast with spreaders, 46' off the water; 320 square foot main with three battens; a 150% genoa of
390 square feet, with roller furling from the cockpit; forestay, backstay, two shrouds and two secondary stays.
There are also two winches on mast, two electric winches accessible from cockpit for jib lines; lazy jacks, bi-level reefing, jib halyard, genoa halyard and new sail cover.
